CONVERSATION WITH SOMEONE – ROZMOWA Z KIMŚ

ROZMOWA Z KIMŚ

Teściowej

– ech, gdybyś ty tyle przeżyła
wody żałowali
przez izbę przejść nie dali
…………………………………
– mnie
wypalono oczy
moje dziecko zabili
może uczynili je kaleką
trudno stwierdzić na pewno
mieli plany…
przeżyłam jedno i drugie
potem powiesiłam się
wtedy Bóg przez posłańca
odciął mnie ze sznura
zwrócił oczy
dał życie dziecku
by mogło stać się wielkim
tylko ta pamięć
spuchnięta od stryczka

CONVERSATION WITH SOMEONE

To my mother-in-law

– uh, if you experienced so much
they grudged water
didn’t allow to cross the room
…………………………………
– to myself
my eyes were burnt
my child was killed
they might have crippled him
it’s hard to say for sure
they had plans…
I survived both
then I hanged myself
and God through an envoy
cut me off the rope
gave back my eyes
and life to the child
to let him grow big
only that memory
swollen from the noose

TO MY SON – MOJEMU SYNOWI

MOJEMU SYNOWI

zwiastowania nie było
a jednak
reszta według scenariusza
udało się zbiec
przed palcami
na których liczono już chwile
dzielące je
od pierwszego oddechu
by go zdławić
i przyszedł
choć go nie przeczuli
kruszyna jak ziarno gorczycy
co wypadło z dłoni
chcących je w pył rozetrzeć
a był z nim Wielki
nie tego świata
nie rozpoznali go
osłonił ziarno oddechem
by wyrosło

TO MY SON
there was no Annunciation
and still
the rest was according to the scenario
he managed to flee
from the fingers on which
the moments were already counted
dividing him
from the first breath
to smother him
and there he came
although they hadn’t presaged him
a crumb like a mustard seed
which fell out of the hand
of those who wanted to grind it to dust
and with him was the Great One
not from this world
they did not recognize him
he sheltered the grain with his breath
to let it grow

ONA – SHE

Ona

przez szczelinę
uchylonych drzwi
była wiatr była światło
była nikt
liście topoli
chciały ją ukołysać
bez kropli łzy
chrzciny jej smutku
odprawił deszcz

SHE

through the gap
of half-open door
she was wind she was light
she was nobody
poplar leaves
wanted to lull her
without a teardrop
the baptism of her sadness
was celebrated by rain

DESZCZ – RAIN

DESZCZ
u niego padał deszcz
nie umiał tego opowiedzieć
przysyłał tylko listy
w kopertach z tęczy
chciał dać mi ją całą
ale rozwiała się
teraz deszcz jest we mnie

RAIN
at his place it was raining
he could not recount that
he only sent letters
in envelops of rainbow
he wanted to give it all to me
but it dispersed
now the rain is in me

CHWILA – MOMENT

CHWILA
pozbawieni trzeciego wymiaru
zrównani z płaszczyzną
stracili nagle na wartości
na chwilę stali się bez znaczenia
jak fotografie w cudzym albumie
mijała ich
w pośpiesznym zdumieniu
nagle bezpieczna

MOMENT

bereft of the third dimension
aligned with the plane
they suddenly fell in value
for a moment became meaningless
like photographs in someone else’s album
she passed them
in haste amazement
suddenly safe
